Oh how I love a campfire. I’ve professed it many times. It’s THE place to gather at the end of a day to laugh and share stories with your friends or to relax with your husband and a good glass of wine, or whisky.
Not every campground allows open campfires anymore. Sometimes it’s a space issue, I’m sure there are some campground owners wary of liability if a campfire gets out of hand. Other times the decision is driven by Mother Nature. Our Arizona springs are notoriously dry in our mountains. Combined with our always low humidity, the forest can get tinder dry really fast. It’s not unusual to have fire bans covering large swaths of the state. We get it and abide by it are very upset each time some idiot thinks the rules don’t apply to him.
This is where the Campfire in a Can saves the day! You can still have a little fire with all the warmth and coziness safely.
You can have a fire in minutes with the easy set up. Take it out of the travel bag, open the legs, place on the ground and hook it up your portable propane tank. In no time you’ll be relaxing by the fire.
Since it uses propane, that means you can control the flame size. Looking for ambiance, keep the flame low. Want more warmth, turn it up. When you’re done, all you have to do is turn off the propane tank. No worries about completely dousing the fire with gallons of water and properly stirring the embers. You also have the nice added bonus of no mess to clean up!
When we take our RZR to Utah for trail riding on the Paiute Trail, the campground we stay at doesn’t allow wood fires. We will put two or three together so we can all sit around it and viola! We have a cozy fire without any of the forest fire dangers.
When it’s time to go, it’s a quick minute or two putting it back in the travel bag and placing it in your storage cabinet. The compact size means it fits nicely in any sized storage space.
