The darn virus sure is messing up a lot this spring. Weddings, graduations and vacations are just a few of the things countless people are having to reschedule or forego completely.
The FMCA Rally in Tucson also fell victim to that darn bug. We were excited to be a part of another rally. Selfishly, I was excited to only have a 90 mile drive! We were asked to present two seminars which we put the finishing touches on in mid January. February was all about practicing. Practice, practice, practice. This was going to be our first seminar presentation and we were ready.
After the dust of the cancellation settled, the hardworking staff at FMCA came up with a new idea of a digital convention! Vendors jumped at the idea to participate and we presenters did, too.
I now know why animated movies take so long to produce; doing a voice-over is hard. Really hard. We were ready to present our seminar in person with real live visual aids. Communicating the information without being able to hold up the Gen-Turi for your generator exhaust or all the baking dishes you can safely use in the micro convection oven and the Instant Pot was a challenge. But, it was a fun challenge and we might now be PowerPoint experts. Too bad there aren’t any outtakes to include but I’m sure you’re glad not to hear me groan in frustration at mispronouncing words again.
