Margo? Who’s Margo? She’s our new Phaeton! She’s still Mark’s girlfriend as are all of our toys. We picked her up right after Christmas and one of the first calls Mark made regarding her care was to Brian Andrus about her first detail.
Poor thing had to wait until spring so her paint and clear coat were fully cured.
Brian owns Andrus Auto Detailing and is based in the East Valley here in Arizona. When Andrew Steele stepped away from detailing, he directed us straight to Brian, telling us he would take the best care of our coach. HE WAS RIGHT!
Brian’s attention to detail is unmatched. He and Garrett have a keen eye and are not satisfied until the coach is absolutely perfect. No part of the coach is missed.
They start at the top and give the roof a good scrubbing then move onto the front, back and sides. He uses a deionized water system so even on a windy day, spots are never a problem. Even the slide-out walls get in on the action with a nice wash and wax. They open all of our window awnings in order to get every single part of the coach.
Then it’s onto the good stuff with a high-end wax, Meguiar’s Finishing Wax. When that’s ready, it’s buffed to a mirror-like shine with their high-speed but gentle orbital buffers. At 6’7″, Garrett can reach just about everything when waxing Margo. The mirror shine blows me away every time. I have to keep myself from running my hands down the side when they are finished because it feels so good.
In years’ past, when Brian is finished he walks around the coach with Mark to point out things that we need to be aware of. Since Margo is brand new, there was nothing to report after his inspection. Yeah.
Clark’s neighbor Margo never looked so good! I can’t wait for our next trip. As much as I love rain, I sure hope it doesn’t until we take her out again.
hey maureen, wow that is a colour scheme unlike i have ever seen on a Tiffin. did you order that specifically?
Nope, it’s one of their regular schemes. We did want to stay away from the dark colors and wanted a light colored top to help with the desert heat. We checked the schemes on the website then searched the country for one with lighter colors and found it only 4 hours away.
Happy camping!
