Spring is in full swing. Lucky us we get to use our RV all year, no winterizing for us.
We know not everyone is as lucky as we are. Many of you have waited all winter to go somewhere. Now that you’ve dewinterized, you’re ready for a trip. You’ve been scouring places to go, mapping the route and looking for an RV Park.
We’re here to help with our Top 10 RV Parks. They range in size and price, some are spendy. Some are fancy, some are cozy and one is a big parking lot with the best view. Many are Passport America parks for added savings! Some book out early and others are ready for you now.
All of them are places we like to spend time doing. And by doing I mean hiking, trail riding, biking, wine tasting, and exploring. All have good food nearby. Each of these parks are ones we visit often or can’t wait to visit again.
Today is all counting down from 10 to 6. Our next post will be the top five. Click the link that is embedded in the RV Park name for the full blog post.
10. The Vineyards Campground & Cabins is located in Grapevine, TX. It’s a great place to stay a weekend or a month. Many sites are along the lake while others are under large shade trees. There are festivals in downtown Grapevine and wine tasting nearby. We use it as a home base when visiting family in the Dallas area.
9. Mountain Valley RV Resort is one state north of us in Heber City, UT and close enough for a long weekend. It’s close to all the fun in Park City, two reservoirs for fishing and boating and lots of off road trails for your Jeep and SXS fun. It’s even open year round making it a great spot if you want to ski in Park City.
8. Wine Country RV Resort is the grand old park in Paso Robles, CA. There are hundreds of wineries nearby including two of our favorites Sculpterra and Opolo. It’s a longer trip since we moved from California, but worth it for the park and the wine.
7. Colter Bay Village RV Park has all the ambiance of staying inside Yellowstone with full hook-ups. Located in between Jackson, WY and Yellowstone south entrance, it’s a great home base for all your Grand Teton adventures. The long sites are tucked into tall pines.
6. Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort sits just outside Spearfish, SD. After staying there last summer, I told Mark I could live there. The spaces are large and the grounds are beautiful. There’s a golf course tied to the resort. We explored so much from the campsite and didn’t see it all. It’s a long drive from Arizona, one we’ll make again. It’s worth every mile.
Looking through our campground posts, I realized that we’ve stayed at some great places. Come back next week when we showcase our top five!

Columbia Riverfront RV Park
Woodland, WA.
Watch River traffic along the River from your site.
30 miles from Portland.
70 miles from Silver Falls State Park.
We haven’t been to Washington since 2006 and we buzzed through, staying one night in Port Angeles before taking the ferry to Vancouver Island. I’m adding this park to our Go-To folder!
Would love to hear about the ferry trip and Vancouver.
Watch for it soon! I’m putting the finishing touches on it this week.
